The USASF Dance Rules Committee, USASF Board of Directors and USASF Dance Executive Committee have unanimously agreed on the attached 2012/2013 & 2013/14 USASF Dance Rules and the 2012/13 USASF Dance Divisions & Guidelines.

These guidelines have been updated to reflect the voice of the USASF Dance members. Growing, as all star dance evolves, the USASF Dance Rules Committee was diligent in creating the Rules and Divisions & Guidelines to support safety, growth and participation throughout all star dance.
To best serve the community and diligently research the needs of the members the Committee accepted Policy Change Request Forms throughout the year. The forms as well as committee member input served as a basis for the agenda, which was then supported with research such as Event Result data and member polling. As a whole over 800 voices were heard and used along with research and leadership debate to create the attached documents. The USASF Dance Rules Committee and Executive Committee are proud to present these proposed rules.
Proper interpretation and consistently following these rules is a crucial component in our mission. To aid in understanding, USASF Dance will be offering rules interpretation courses throughout the summer. These courses will be an audit with the safety judges training courses.
